Owlene Owl – She is an eastern screech owl. Wife. Mother. Austinite.
We named her after Dolly Parton’s song Jolene, because her beauty is beyond compare.

Otis Owl – He is an eastern screech owl. Husband. Father. Austinite.
We named him after Otis Redding because he crooned his way into Owlene’s heart “sittin at the nook of the branch” by making whiny horsey sounds, trilling and nasal hoots. He brought Owlene to live with him and start a family in our backyard. In this video he is getting some rest. He lets Owlene and the baby owlets sleep in the modern owlhouse. This Owl House was bought from The Natural Gardener.
